ABOUT ME

I found my passion for photography about 15 years ago, when I started out as a portrait photographer. I dabbled in landscape photography, real estate and product photography, but I must admit, my soul is happiest when capturing the big moments on a couple's special day.  There is a joy in knowing that what I am doing is going to mean so much to the couple, and there is excitement in catching the best angles, lights, and moments (especially the unexpected ones).  I love hearing from my clients when they receive their photos and when they tell me they are excited to see that surprise photo that meant so much yet they hadn't planned on. I also love seeing the photos I took displayed in homes or albums for a couple to look back on year after year.

On my own wedding day, our photographer canceled and we were left with a last-minute stand-in photographer. Unfortunately, he missed taking our family portraits and most of those special moments and details we had hoped for. We would do anything to go back and be able to look at the photos of all of our family together, our wedding cake, our dog walking down the aisle (she thought it was all a party for her), and our first dance. I truly understand the importance of capturing all of those special moments and how magical it is to be able to look back with a smile, and often a laugh! I also understand that this is the biggest day of your life and I will undoubtedly be early and overly organized for your special day.

On your wedding day, you can expect me to be a calm and collected presence that is adaptable and easy going when things go unexpectedly.  I'll be capturing the day as candidly as possible, allowing things to unfold naturally without too much interference from my end. At the same time, during formal portraits of the newlyweds, bridal party, and family, I'll take a more directive approach to posing. I approach weddings as live productions, embracing the mantra that "the show must go on." Clients often comment on my composed demeanor, honed through years of navigating the unexpected. My aim is to be a place of calm for you, guiding you not only through your wedding day but also throughout the planning process. In short: I'm going to help you (over) prepare for the best day ever, and when we need to pivot, you can count on me to be easy going and along for the ride
